Say "Yes"

What if money were like oxygen?  You don’t know where it comes from but it’s there when you inhale.  In fact, you don’t even have to think about it, it’s just there.  God provides the oxygen we breathe.  He is Jehovah Jireh and provides our finances as we rest in Him (Hebrews 3 and 4).

I’ve noticed Christians, including myself, are not good at receiving material blessings.  Spiritually we are sponges and can’t get enough of spiritual wealth.  But when it comes to material blessings we wonder if we are presumptuous, managing our finances well, following the Lord’s will, and second guess if we are hearing Him correctly.

Last night I wrote down the material blessings of this year.  I’m aware of the spiritual blessings but I thought I should consider what happened materially.  I was shocked at all the Lord has done in the last months.  I had finally shrugged my shoulders to the bank account, which has hovered in a low altitude range since 2010, and simply trusted, in faith, to fix things and purchase things anyway.  Money just moved around and was there when I needed it.  I never ran out, like the jars of oil that kept flowing (2 Kings 4).  In fact, two things that at first appeared to be financially disastrous in the natural ended up becoming huge financial blessings (Romans 8:28).  He used the bad circumstances to bless me above my imagination.  Isn’t that how our Father is?  Wow, silly me how I looked at the situations at first.

Now, you may say this is another prosperity gospel message.  It’s not.  I realize when I’m a very happy Christian, bubbly with joy, I bless others even more.  People want to be around me even more because I share from my both my spiritual and material blessings.  People want to come to my house, where they experience His Presence and peace, because I also put on the Ritz for them and pamper them.  When I have something nice I don’t need anymore, I find a Christian home for it and they are blessed.  There are so many ways to give of yourself besides only money, as I’ve blogged before (see Tithing vs. Giving).

In short, I’ve learned to say “Yes” to God.  Several months ago He said I must act and purchase in faith, then He will provide.  But if I only act and purchase based on my bank account, I will always be limited by and chained to my bank account.  I’m saying Yes, and the blessings to me and, thus, through me to others, are overflowing.  Wow.  All I had to do was treat money like oxygen and say, “Yes.”

"Blow, blow, blow!  I am blowing away the confusion.  I am blowing away the despair.  I am blowing away the taunts of the enemy, the whispers in your ears, so you will have the mind of Christ, you will hear My voice clearly.  Clear as a bell!  Clearer than ever!  No longer will the enemy jeer and taunt and whisper, I have shut his mouth!  You will see where I am going so you may be the sons of the Most High and do exactly as I am doing.  You will go where I am going.  You will be in lock step with Me.  Yes, you have desired this all along.  You have labored and prayed and suffered because the enemy has whispered confusion and tried to trip you.  But he will be restrained for a season in your life, I will restrain him!  Your mind will be clear as a bell in My liberty.  You will taste the mind of Christ, the mind of My Spirit which I have given you, that is so refreshing, like the crisp sunny air in spring.  You haven’t experienced such clear and light freshness since a child.  Clean and light, like that of a child.

"The enemy has attacked today, he has bombed.  Enough!!  This is not the beginning but the end of him for a season!  He will be crushed.  No more!!  I want to save and liberate!!  Set the captives free!!!  Set My captives free!!!  Clear as a bell, your minds will know My thoughts!  My thoughts for good and blessing and not for harm!  A bruised reed I will not break but set it upright.  You will hear My voice clear as a bell!  No more, I quiet his mouth!  I am shutting the mouth of his whispering in your ears for a season, of his accusing you.  Clear as bell, so you shall hear Me!  Every one of you!  Set My captives free!  Go set them free!!  Heal the maimed and injured!  Freely you have been given, freely give!  Even pray that that which have been cut off, limbs which have been cut off, shall be restored and attached.  Don’t look away, it is gruesome, but pray.  Did I not heal the ear cut off?  Clear as a bell, you know My heart and My heart is of love and tenderness.  Clear as a bell, fresh as a daisy, clean as a child, so is your mind I have given you!  Your mind in Me will move mountains!  Not because you move them, but because I have moved the mountains when you simply see as I see and simply hear as I hear!  Don’t struggle, I’ve shut the enemy’s mouth for a season in your life, he is to let My children go and no longer accuse and confuse.  All is clear as a bell!"

Update as of April 20, 2013 11:30 am:

I find it interesting that the Boston bombing suspect, captured last night to everyone’s great relief, is being medically cared for at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  My understanding is “Beth Israel” means “House of Israel”.  So the physical healing of the Boston bombing suspect is being administered from the hands of what he perceives as his very enemy both literally, the American doctors and American health care providers, and symbolically, the House of Israel.  Please note the House of Israel is not the country of Israel but those who make Jesus the Messiah their Lord.  “God… said: ‘The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah…. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.’… By calling this covenant ‘new,’ he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.” Hebrews 8:8,10,13 (NIV)

Over the last days when reading about the senseless, demonic bombing by those who have seared and calcified hearts, I have kept praying and shaking my head, “No more! No more!”  Please know I didn’t feel this intensity of conviction after 9-11.  There will be great clarity of hearing the Lord for believers for a season and the mouth of the enemy will be shut.
